1 SIM Cards SIM (Subscriber Identification Module) is a small chip that contains a unique identification number to identify and validate subscribers on mobile devices.
2 Calling Cards Calling cards are a prepaid method to make long distance calls from a foreign location. These cards restrict a user to receive incoming calls and the user requires a medium through which they can make outgoing calls.
3 Postpaid In postpaid, the invoice is generated as per the usage of mobile services at the end of each billing cycle of the network.
4 Prepaid The user makes the payment in advance to use the services and recharges it again whenever the credited amount ends.
5 Airtime Airtime is the actual minutes consumed on a mobile phone. The word often used to describe the actual minutes used on a wireless phone.
6 Clay Connect The caller has to follow IVR Instructions to connect the call to India at lesser costs.
7 IP Code IP (Internet Protocol) code routes the calls through internet to make your calls cost-effective back to India.
8 Intracall/CUG CUG (Closed User Groups) are those groups of SIM users who can make calls and receive calls at less rates within the group.
9 Browsing Browsing enables users to navigate through web pages and retrieve information – text, audio, video and images from the World Wide Web.
10 Data Downloading In data downloading, the user can download images, videos, documents and e-mails onto any device that has internet connectivity.
11 Data Card A device that can be connected to different devices to receive Internet access via a wireless broadband connection.
12 Mi-Fi A Mi-Fi device is a compact wireless router which acts as a Wi-Fi Hotspot to connect it with different devices at the same time.
13 USB Dongle It is a small portable hardware device that connects with movable e-devices through USB port.
14 Data Bundle The user pays a fixed fee upto a specified limit and then is entitled to pay additional costs as per the usage.
15 GPRS GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) is a popular data service for GSM mobile phones that allows information to be sent and receive across GSM network. The user can take GPRS as a data bundle service or take it on a pay-as-you-use basis.
16 EDGE EDGE (Enhanced Data for Global Evolution) is more efficient than GPRS that improves internet connectivity and data transmission across mobile phones.
17 3G It is a 3rd generation of mobile technology allowing users to browse internet and send & receive data quickly.
18 BES BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) is connected with your corporate server that enables you to redirect e-mails, synchronise contacts and integrate calendar information on your device.
19 BIS BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) is an e-mail service provided by the respective carrier namely Verizon, T-Mobile, Rogers, AT&T, etc.
20 POP3 server Post Office Protocol (POP3) mail server receives and filters e-mails into designated user folders.
21 PUK Code Pin Unlock Code (PUK) is the code required to unlock a SIM card that has been blocked after entering incorrect PIN code multiple times in a row.
22 MEP Code The MEP code allows you to unlock the network locked BlackBerry device.
23 WEP Key Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) key is a security code used on Wi-Fi networks to ensure complete protection.
24 Dual-band A mobile phone that supports only two frequency bands out of four frequency types is called a Dual-band device.
25 Quad-band A quad-band phone supports all four different radio frequency bands namely 850MHz, 900MHz, 1800MHz, and 1900MHz that are compatible with most GSM networks worldwide.
26 Tri-band A mobile device that supports any of three frequency bands is known as tri-band.
27 IMEI IMEI (International Mobile Station Equipment Identity) is a unique number mentioned inside the battery compartment to identify valid devices.
28 GSM GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) is a wireless communication technology that gives flexibility to users to access any network on their handsets.
29 CDMA CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) is a wireless communication technology that allows users to access a single network on their handsets, while restricting them to access other networks.
30 IP Address An Internet Protocol (IP) address is a numerical label assigned to each device (e.g., computer, printer) participating in a computer network that uses Internet Protocol for communication.
31 Forex Foreign Exchange (Forex) market enables people to buy one currency and sell another at the same time.
32 IVR A customer follows IVR (Interactive Voice Response) dialogues to interact with the computer database for connecting the call to the destination.
33 Voice Mail A centralised electronic system that enables users to exchange and store personal voice messages using a mobile or ordinary phone.
34 RAF Rental Agreement Form (RAF) is an agreement between the customer and Clay that contains all the customer details, chosen plan, Clay mobile number and Handset issued by Clay , and other important details concerning the travel. This form is filled when the customer takes Clay postpaid services.
35 CAF Customer Agreement Form (CAF) is an agreement form between the customer and Clay containing information about customer personal details, travel plan, dates and other important details. This form is filled when the customer buys Clay prepaid SIM connection.
36 ERP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is a business management software that integrates different business operations into a single system to facilitate better flow of information within the organisation.
37 MICE MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions/Events) is a type of tourism in which people travel in a group for a particular purpose. Attractive discounts can be availed by the group travellers on each travelling requirement such as , airlines, hotels, transportation etc
38 SME Travellers SME stands for Small & Medium Enterprise, this includes travellers from Export houses.
